My goal is to introduce the beginner, guide the intermediate, and advise the proficient students on mastering the piano playing art...
I offer private in-person and online piano lessons at my Piano With Vlad Studio. I am also a faculty member at the Doral Piano Studio, Superior Academy of Music, and the Bean Music Studio. My piano educating approach is based on a combination of teaching materials and methods. Depending on the student’s age, level, and enthusiasm I create an individual plan which helps to establish a good sight reading skills, solid rhythm comprehension, and improved piano technique. My students learn about Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Pop, and Jazz musical styles, instruments, world composers and legendary music performers.

I think Vlad is a fantastic music teacher. Vlad is a patient teacher that covers the lesson materials at a pace that necessitates my ability to digest the material. Vlad is constantly pushing me to take on more challenging compositions, so that I can continue to improve rather than remaining stagnant and frustrated. Vlad is open to permitting me to select compositions from whatever genre of music that Id like to play. We have played pop music from Phil Collins and George Michael, to film and TV scores like Game of Thrones Light of the Seven. We are currently working through John Thompsons books and are beginning Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata and Fur Elise. I enjoy pop music and Vlad is always open for me to pick a Billy Joel composition or Chariots of Fire. I really enjoy the flexibility to play both challenging classical music, while playing pop songs that I love. Vlad's instructional approach is the same regardless of the compositions we are playing. Vlad is patient and makes our lessons enjoyable. That's not to say they are easy. My lessons always challenge me to grow and improve. We also work on music theory incorporating flashcards and different techniques to learn pieces that I get stuck on. I am an adult student with learning disabilities/ADHD and Vlad has been an excellent teacher. When I first contemplated taking virtual lessons via Zoom, I wasn't sure if it would work for me or if I would get easily distracted and/or bored. However, after months of lessons, I have found that Zoom lessons are excellent and its as if Vlad is sitting right next to me at my piano. Something else I really like is that Vlad can record the audio and video of our lessons, so that I may rewatch them through the week while practicing. We cover so much information in one lesson that its easy for me to not pick up on everything Vlad teaches. I highly recommend Vlad as a music professor. I am taking piano lessons with Vlad for 3 years already. I have never played piano before. Vlad helped me with some piano basics and we quickly jumped into learning pieces. He is passionate about teaching. We worked on pop pieces that I was dreaming to play. We also studied several classical pieces. He is good with keeping things organized and balanced. Policy
Attendance: Please ensure your child arrives on time for their scheduled lesson. If you anticipate being late or absent, please inform us at least 24 hours in advance.
Practice: Regular practice is essential for progress. We encourage parents to support their child's practice routine and ensure they have access to a well-maintained instrument.
Communication: We value open communication and encourage parents to share any concerns or questions they may have. We will do our best to address them promptly and effectively. Communication will be done via email or phone number.
Payment: Lessons must be paid for in advance on a monthly basis. Payment is due at the first lesson of each month. Payments can be made via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, Check, or Cash.
Cancellation policy: If a student misses the scheduled piano lesson without notifying their teacher 48 hours ahead, the lesson fee will still apply. If we need to cancel a lesson for any reason, we will reschedule or refund the fee. The Student has an option to cancel lessons that coincide with National Holidays or request a makeup lesson.
Video/photo: We may video record or take photos of our students’ performances for the promotional purposes. If you, or your child, do not wish to be on the photos or videos, please let us know.
